I offer three main editorial services, each with a three-tiered price range depending on word count.
The Content Edit
This is where I read your novel and provide feedback on the big picture issues: plot, structure, characters, themes. Are there plot holes? Is the novel structured in the most effective way? Are the characters’ motivations clear? Are the themes either undeveloped or overdeveloped?
This service is a great way to find the trouble spots in your novel and get advice on how to fix them. I will focus on your story in this edit rather than your writing.
Pricing:
If your novel is under 80,000 words – $400
If your novel is between 80,000-100,000 words – $500
If your novel is between 100,000-120,000 words – $600
If your novel is over 120,000 words – $700
The Line Edit
If you’re confident that your story is great overall and you just want someone to help with the details, then this is the edit for you. This is where I dig into your writing on a sentence-by-sentence level. I won’t comment on plot problems or character issues, but I’ll clear up passive voice, I’ll question word choice, and I’ll trim the clutter out of your sentences. I’ll ask nitty-gritty detail questions. I’ll flag places where a transition is needed, or a line of dialogue isn’t working, or a character has magically appeared in a room when he’s supposed to be in another country.
Note: This is not a copy edit or proofread. Though I might address grammar or punctuation issues on occasion, my focus is your language and writing.

If your novel is between 80,000-100,000 words – $750
If your novel is between 100,000-120,000 words – $850
If your novel is over 120,000 words – $950
The Complete Edit
This, as the name suggests, is both the Big Picture Edit and the Detailed Edit in one. I’ll roll up my sleeves and give your manuscript everything I’ve got.
Pricing:
If your novel is under 80,000 words – $900
If your novel is between 80,000-100,000 words – $1,000
If your novel is between 100,000-120,000 words – $1,100
If your novel is over 120,000 words – $1,200
